finally i blog !

hi everyone ! i'm back from hiatus :) due to the fact that alston recently asked me to update the blog.. so here i am.. haha. happy alston ?

Melbourne's a total different place to be compared to malaysia. The weather here is sometimes cold, sometimes too cold, and at other times is so bloody hot ! The people here are also diff, quite different. The lifetstyles, the way they do things.. I've never seen people sitting on the grass under the burning sun in a 35 degree weather before, not in Msia at least. During the cold days, i finally FINALLY know how to appreciate the sun !

As most of you all know, i'm currently staying in the same house as kj and kl. It's pretty weird to know that you lose to two boys in cooking, trust me in this. I don't cook, seriously. Loong does most of the cooking in the house, and surprisingly, it's edible ! =D Sometimes, the 3 of us do funny things, like converse to each other in Bahasa Melayu for the whole evening, and sometimes we even resort to speaking mandarin in heavy China accent.

Things have changed. BAck in msia, i normaly don't do housework. Now, i have to vacuum, sweep, mop, wash clothes ( by hand ), hang clothes, wash the dishes, and i even took the initiative to sweep leaves off the front porch.. Honestly, after doing all these work here, i'm quite surprised at myself, at how lazy i was last time, how i never do housework, or how i never even thought of helping my mom at housework. So selfish !

Everthing here's expensive. Food for example. An average meal costs around 7 to 8 dollars. DOLLARS. Try times 3 and it's like well over 20 ringgit just to fill up your stomach. And after a few hours, you get hungry again ( cold weather makes you eat more, oh well, makes ME eat more ). So that's why we dont' always eat out. Most of the time, breakfast lunch and dinner is at home. Nowadays daniel pops in for dinner every now and then. Kent has also sleptover at our place once. And he complained that 3 of us lead a boring life, and it's a boring place, nothing to do, which is kind of true. Here's normally what we do :

Monday - Friday : Morning wake up wash up eat uni come back do work cook eat bath do work sleep
Saturday : Afternoon go market buy stuff come back do work do work do work cook eat bath work sleep
Sunday : do work do work do work do work do work do work do work do work do work cook eat bath sleep

Of course, in between doing work, there's abit of distraction, like online, tvb dramas in kj's computer, heroes season 2 also in kj's computer and calling my mommy. And for the boys, sometimes they play CS. And i always hear the same dialogue between those two when they play:

'' How come i didn't see you ? '' and
'' Ooi you use sniper ah ?? '' and
'' SHIT... how can i die '' and
'' Headshot !!!!! '' and
'' Not fair, you see me i don't see you wan..'' and
'' WAhahahahahahahaha!! '' and
'' Eh change map change map'' and
'' You suck man.. dun wanna play with you already lah you always lose.. ''

Anyways, we did meet up with the other M1-ers one night. Joyce and navi held this party thing, and we were supposed to bring friends and food, but we only brought the latter. It was held at the rooftop of Navi's apartment. And it was a very cold and windy night. Everyone was there except yean ling. Sigh.. I was excited to meet up with everyone there.. Lijen and Kent especially since i havn't heard from them ever since i came here. So finally i get to meet them and boy did we do alot of talking ! Jen and i even went down to have extra food - rice with sambal and pork ( plus i had another extra thing : pasta salad )... mMm..

Oh shit.. now that we're talking about food, guess what ? The first thing Jen said to me when she saw me was : '' KarMun, you put on weight ! '' and later on she proceeded to saying that i have more curves now. Haiz.. what to do.. I just can't stop eating when i'm here dammit. Must cut cut cut cut cut it all off !! Even kj said i put on weight :(

Public transport here is also very very costly. The cheapest ticket they sell here is $3.20 and even that is only valid for 2 hours. So we ( 3 of us ) walk to the uni everyday which is about 20 minutes away from our house. Good la at least i get some form of exercise!

one thing about aus is that there are loads of traffic lights, and we have to get past these everyday to get to uni, which takes up quite alot of time.
